Payment Terms-
Reservations by Telephone :
Deposits: To confirm reservations on all (Quark) products, a deposit of 20% of the gross value, non-discounted rate (minimum US$1000, AU$1000, £650, €800 per person) will be required at the time of booking the package. The money may be transferred by bank wire transfer, check, money order or a major credit card/debit card. For any booking within 120 days of the departure date a full payment will be required.
Policy for Late payments :
All late payments will be subjected to a fine of US$50, (AU$55, £30, €35) per person administration fee and a 1.5% interest per month, or 18% per annum. Quark reserves the right to cancel any booking that is not paid within the 120 days of the departure date or deny boarding of the passenger on the account on any unpaid balances.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations and Refunds:
All requests for the cancellation of the package must be received in writing. Cancellations received within 180 days or more prior to departure, are refunded less an administrative fee of minimum US$1250, AU$1400, £750, €900 per person booked for the package. If the cancellation is received between 179 days-120 days, the will be deposit forfeited. If the cancellation occurs less than 120 days prior to the departure date, all payments will be forfeited. If full payment has not been received, the full penalty will shall apply and any unpaid balances will be due immediately. To protect the traveler’s investment, we recommend that you purchase adequate trip cancellation insurance.
Cancellations will not be made online.
Cancellation by Quark Expeditions :
Quark Expeditions starts planning our voyages many months in advance to the departure date. Occasionally, we some changes have to be made both before and after bookings have been confirmed. Quark shall reserve the right to cancel any service prior to the departure date, in which case the payment will be refunded without further obligation on U-Tourizmo/s part. Please note that in the case of a cancellation, Quark Expeditions will not take the responsiblity for the cost of any additional travel arrangements made beyond the voyage or other items which are not purchased through Quark Expeditions. Due to the nature of the Antarctic Express (Fly South, cruise North; Fly the Drake; and cruise South, Fly North) programs, we shall NOT OFFER PASSENGERS A REFUND IN THE EVENT OF A TRIP CANCELLATION IF THE CHARTER FLIGHT IS NOT ABLE TO TAKE OFF BY 1400 HRS ON DAY 4 (Travel insurance is highly recommended to cover such unexpected contingencies.)
